What to Expect: Sight, Sound, and Stealth

A night drive typically begins around 8:00 PM and lasts for two to three hours. It is a sensory experience where the sounds of the African night—the “sawing” of a leopard or the eerie howl of a hyena—take center stage.

• The Predators: This is your best chance to see lions and leopards on the move. While they often sleep during the day, they are active, vocal, and highly lethal hunters under the cover of darkness.

Essential Tips for Your Night Safari
