Detailed Itinerary
Kilimanjaro Airport- Arusha
You’ll land at Kilimanjaro International Airport. After clearing immigration and collecting your luggage, your driver will meet you in arrivals and transfer you to your accommodation in Arusha. Accommodation
Arusha Planet Lodge (BB)
Tarangire National Park
After breakfast we drive to Tarangire National Park for some very rewarding game drives. Tarangire National Park has some of the highest population density of elephants anywhere in Tanzania, and its sparse vegetation, strewn with baobab and acacia trees, makes it a beautiful and special location. Before the rains, droves of gazelle, wildebeest, zebra, and giraffes migrate to Tarangire National Park’s scrub plains where the last grazing land still remains
Accommodation
Lake Burunge Tented Lodge
Lake Manyara National Park
The Lake Manyara National Park is serene and beautiful with main attractions of rich bird life, tree-climbing lions, Elephants, and hippos that you can see at closer range than most other places. Lake Manyara is an alkaline lake and at certain times of the year hosts thousands of flamingos and other diverse bird life. Although it is one of the small National Parks, its vegetation is very diverse, enabling it to host a variety of wildlife habitats.
Accommodation
Marera Valley Lodge
Serengeti National Park
We start our day this morning at the campsite drive to Serengeti, via Ngorongoro Conservation Area then to Serengeti plains famed for its annual animal migration when some 6 million hooves pound the open plains.
On our way to the Serengeti, we stop at Olduvai Gorge to visit this world-renowned archaeological site that has been called the “Cradle of Mankind”. Continue to Serengeti National Park for late afternoon game drive then to your accommodation.
Full day game drive through the Serengeti, where breathtaking landscapes, endless horizons and abundant wildlife await you. The Serengeti is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the central part of the park is the ideal location at this time of the year for marvelling at the annual wildebeest migration.
Accommodation
Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Today we leave the Serengeti and drive to Ndutu areas fleeting some very scenic landscapes game en route.
A full day of game drive through the crater awaits you today. Called the eighth wonder of the world, the crater won’t fail to take your breath away as you stand on the rim looking down a 10-mile-wide crater floor with abundant wildlife. The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unbroken volcanic caldera in the world covering approximately 260 sq. km’s with walls rising 600 meters from the crater floor. Before the Ngorongoro Volcano exploded and collapsed 2 million years ago, it was one of the world’s tallest mountains. Now, it is home to more than 30,000 large mammals – mainly gazelle, buffalo, eland, hartebeest and warthog – and has the highest predator density in the world.
